When I received a call recently from a locksmith, asking me how to unlock my car, I thought it was just another one of those auto-immune problems that auto manufacturers and dealerships come out with every year or so. That is until I learned that my local dealership had just installed a new anti-theft system in all their vehicles. With this new system installed, the doors could not be locked by a common thief, and now there was no way for them to do it. They still needed a way to unlock my car if I wasn’t going to unlock it myself, but this meant that they would now have to go to one of our local car manufacturers and dealerships and use our services to gain entry. Of course this put my mind at ease a bit, but now I’m starting to wonder if there are any companies out there that offer a unique Car Unlock Service that doesn’t involve going through a dealer?
When I first called the locksmith service, the representative told me they did in fact offer an auto unlocking service. To my surprise, he didn’t tell me they only did it for locks that were brand new and in good condition. But then again, it didn’t make any sense to me either, because if they needed to replace the ignition or some other part, why would they unlock the door? And if I had been in an accident or had locked my keys in the car, or if there was something wrong with the vehicle, would they just fix it or try to sell it? And if I didn’t have a way to unlock my car, would they even bother doing any of the other things I had asked for?
After hanging up on one of the locksmiths I had called, I started to think I had made a mistake. The locksmiths that were available weren’t just some generic locksmiths either. They were actually locksmiths from some of the larger names in the industry like Wisemaker, Kwikset, Master lock, Continental, Franschhoek and others. Some of the locksmiths I had talked to recommended Master lock as a brand that you can trust, but it was still a bit of a mystery as to what the deal was on that particular brand of lock.
So, I decided to give them a call one afternoon to find out more about their services. I asked them about a couple of different services they offered, such as a free auto unlocking key replacement, and a spare key, as well as what kind of payment methods they accepted. The representative that took the call was very nice and cordial, and was able to describe the benefits of their company quite nicely. She also told me they could change the spare key in under 2 minutes, which pretty much sealed the deal. Unfortunately, however, she wasn’t able to provide me with a complete list of all the services they offer, but she told me they covered everything from simple lock replacement to new car locks.
I went on to tell her about an old friend of mine who had lost his keys once, and had called a few different locksmith shops to try to get a lock replaced, but had gotten no results. He didn’t want to call any more locksmiths, so he decided to go online and see if there were any other options. As it turns out, there is such a thing as the “car lockmiths” website! As soon as he finished finding his new locksmith, he was able to log into the website, enter his information, and make a reservation immediately!
The “car locksmiths” website provides pretty much the same services that a normal locksmith would provide. They can take your vehicle keys and duplicate them for you (imagine the joy of not having to hand write each key! ), and also help you figure out how to put your keys in your car. If you have problems, they also offer help at a reasonable price.
